day two and day three.

i've been on weight watchers for 3 days, and i've stayed OP all three days! i worked out the first two days, but didn't today (because of TERRIBLE cramps!) i used one flex point today (entirely almost-hubby's fault!)

i have to save my fps for the rest of the week. the craft fair is this weekend, plus the jewelry party, and harvey's graduation dinner.

this really feels like i'm going to do it "for real" this time. i'm sticking with it!

day one.

i did VERY well for day one. i stayed within my points range (of 31) and earned 3 activity points. i didn't have very many struggles or temptations today, and what temptations i did have, i made sure fit into my points range.

progress pictures: week one/the beginning.

i think i'm going to take pictures for every 10 pound loss.

the beginning.

we (my fiance and i) signed up with snap fitness today. they're a great 24 hour place in town. so, i guess this is it; no more excuses. the lifestyle change starts today!

here's a little background info. i'm fat and unhealthy. i used to be average size and healthy, but due to an eating disorder, saw myself as gigantic. i saw no other option than to just eat myself silly. now, i really am gigantic, and look back on the pictures of the "gigantic days" as, 'what was i thinking?! i looked amazing!'

i've done tons of yo-yo diets. tons. i've been on a perpetual string of diets since i was 12. you name it, i've done it: slim fast, medifast, the peanut butter diet, the water diet, weight watchers, atkins, anorexia, bulimia, 10:48, even my own invention, the cappuccino diet. i'm done with all of this.

both of my parents are overweight. my mom's biggest fear in life was that her children would be overweight. so she nagged, and nagged, and nagged some more. i know, deep down, she just really never wanted me to go through what she was going through. well, it backfired--big time. telling a preteen to "put down that chip and grab your fat roll, honey" is not a good comment to make.

& thus began my unhealthy relationship with food. i eat, and eat, and eat. you know the old saying, "eat to live, don't live to eat"? well, my life is completely opposite of that. i think about food all day long; about when i can eat next, what i will eat next, what people will think of me when they see me eating. i plot to hide it, and i make excuses. quite frankly, i'm done with this kind of lifestyle, and its going to change.

i'm going to start slow. just watch my portion control for the first week, and start with some slight cardio exercise. i'll gradually increase the exercise, and make changes to my diet as the weeks progress. i would eventually, finances allowing, like to sign up with weight watchers again; i know it works. i'm not going to be drastic this time; it obviously hasn't worked in the past. if i lose one ounce a week, well, thats something to be proud of.

i'm getting married in a little over 5 months--160 days, to be exact. i would like to lose 10lbs a month by the wedding; that's 50lbs, a noticeable amount. i want to look and feel healthier.

my whole life all i've wanted to be is a mother; it is what i was put on this earth to be. i know in order to be the best mother i can be, that i must be healthier, and take care of myself first. i'm aiming to make my body a hospitable environment for a fetus, in a few months. :) i will be breastfeeding, so i want to be as healthy as possible. i want to pass nutritional values and a healthy lifestyle onto my children.

in this blog i will be recording my thoughts and triumphs; weigh-ins and photos; new found wisdom and old wounds. so, this is it. follow me along on my weight loss journey.

here's some pics; watch me get larger through the years!
